What it means to be Carbon Neutral
Being a Carbon Neutral means we have done what we can to minimise any negative environmental impact of doing business and chosen to offset the unavoidable emissions.
Why? Because carbon offsets are a highly effective way of reducing CO2 pollution in communities across the World. With the funds received from the carbon credits we buy biodiversity projects would not be feasible, mangrove forests could not be restored, rural communities could not afford to install and operate wind farms, African communities would burn wood to get clean water and remote industrial towns would have to resort to fossil fuels. We chose to offset through Tracebecause they handpick the best projects and bring to life the amazing impact of these projects, so that our customers can rest assured that their purchase / order leaves a positive trace. Offsets are not the panacea, but they play an important role in restoring balance in our atmosphere.
Trace loves working with organisations that have already done what they can to reduce their emissions, such as implementing a sustainable supply chain, sourcing materials locally or using the most efficient freight options, reducing non recyclable packaging and making your operations as CO2 efficient as possible.
